New housing development launched in Malmesbury
09 May 2022

We've launched a stunning new development in Malmesbury, Wiltshire.
Our Wessex region has launched its development off Tetbury Road, and work has started on building the 121 new homes. The site - Backbridge Farm - has been designed to meet the needs of first-time buyers, families and people moving up the property ladder.
House hunters can now reserve the two, three, four and five-bedroom homes off-plan.
Pauline Fletcher, sales director for Persimmon Homes Wessex, said: “We believe this development is an exciting addition to the area because it offers a range of house styles to suit everyone’s needs. Malmesbury is a picturesque market town boasting a wide variety of amenities, shops, pubs, eateries and schools – all within walking distance of Backbridge Farm, via a brand new footbridge crossing the River Avon.
“It also has good road links to nearby centres of commerce and employment, such as Cirencester, Chippenham, Swindon and Bristol. We’re already seeing buyers wanting to get ahead of the game and secure their new home off-plan and we can offer benefits to those early bird reservations.”
Pauline said there are advantages of buying off-plan before a single brick has been laid.
“Customers can truly personalise their home by choosing a range of fixtures and fittings such as kitchen units, flooring, tiles or accessories. It also means that buyers have the maximum amount of time to get everything sorted, taking some of the stress out of moving home.”
Providing buyers with a helping hand, all the properties at Backbridge Farm are available to purchase under Help to Buy, the Government’s equity loan scheme. Persimmon’s Part Exchange and Home Change schemes are also available.
Persimmon Homes Wessex is expecting its first completions this summer. For more information visit the website.
