Our South Midlands region help breathe new life into South Warwickshire school’s outdoor space

A primary school in South Warwickshire has received a cash boost to rejuvenate its outdoor spaces, thanks to our South Midlands region.
Tudor Grange Primary School – based at the Meon Vale development near Stratford-on-Avon – received a £1,000 donation from the developer as part of its Community Champions initiative. The funds will be used to purchase new outdoor resources for the school, allowing pupils to make the most of the outdoors as well as develop their interpersonal skills, physical activity and enhance their playtime.
The donation was marked with a cheque presentation, attended by Nadim Zahawi, MP for Stratford-on-Avon as well as Amanda Rogers and Vicky Norris from Persimmon Homes South Midlands.
Johnathan Crockett, Early Years Lead at Tudor Grange Primary Academy Meon Vale, said: “We’re absolutely delighted by this kind donation from Persimmon Homes. Our goal has always been to create a vibrant outdoor space which provides our pupils with lots of learning opportunities including physical development, social skills, and well-being – as well as allowing them to have lots of fun.
“The money that Persimmon has kindly gifted us has gone towards new resources such as sports equipment; revamping our mud kitchen and construction areas, providing more maths and writing outside, and will allow our pupils to make the most of the space for years to come. Living at Meon Vale myself, I am also aware that a donation of this kind will provide an inviting and engaging environment for the children of future residents.”
Amanda Rogers, Sales Director of Persimmon Homes South Midlands, said: “What we do is about much more than just building homes, it’s about leaving a lasting positive legacy in the communities that we build in. We’re always delighted to lend a hand to local schools and community groups to boost their ongoing initiatives or contribute to causes that mean a lot to them.”
“It’s great to see Tudor Grange Primary put the donation to good use already and we look forward to hearing how the pupils are enjoying their refreshed outdoor space!”
