Part Exchange removes the stress for Tracy

Moving house is undoubtedly one of the most stressful things you can do.
From selling your existing property to finding a new one, securing a mortgage to getting everything boxed up – it all takes its toll.
That’s why Persimmon’s Part Exchange scheme is so popular.
One customer who has reaped the benefits of Part Exchange is Tracy Smith, who moved into her new Persimmon home with her partner William at Pembridge Court, in the village of Clehonger near Hereford, last month.
She already had a Persimmon house in Kingsway, Gloucester, and decided the time was right for a change.
Tracy had already put that home on the market and started looking for new homes in the Hereford area when she stumbled upon Pembridge Court.
She fell in love with the site and Persimmon’s sales advisers were able to tell her about Part Exchange, meaning she could forget about selling her existing property.
Tracy said: “It really did take away so much stress. Persimmon looked after everything with regards the old house. It was so straight forward.”
With Part Exchange Persimmon organises the sale of an existing home from start to finish. A fair and realistic price is agreed based on independent valuations and then estate agents are appointed to market the property on the owner’s behalf.
Tracy, a manager at a nearby petrol forecourt, bought a five-bedroom Corfe style property – and it’s already starting to feel like home.
“We’ve done a few bits and bobs already and we have more plans,” she added. “We did look at some older homes in the area but the great thing about buying a new-build is you start with a blank canvas. You can make it feel exactly how you want.”
“Another big plus is the guarantees the property comes with and you know things like windows and doors won’t need to be replaced for some time.”
“Obviously lockdown has limited our activities a bit, but we’ve managed to get out and about and it’s a lovely area. The local shop is also very convenient. We’re really happy.”
