Persimmon give newlyweds a step up

21 January 2013

Persimmon Essex have helped two Braintree newlyweds start a new chapter in their life in just four weeks thanks to a purchase scheme that asks for only a 5% deposit from first time buyers.

Michal and Dominica Kizelbach are settling comfortably on to the ladder, and in to married life together, in their new two bedroom property at Station Approach thanks to Persimmon Homes Essex’s FirstBuy scheme.

Michal explains how easy the scheme made their move: “My wife and I wanted to find a stylish family house that was close to the railway and in an area that we know and love, having lived in Braintree for three and a half years already.

“When we looked around the Stambourne house type it was everything we were looking for in a property, but we resigned ourselves to the fact that we would not be able to afford the deposit for such a perfect property.”

Sales advisor, Tracy Benson, suggested that FirstBuy would be the ideal solution and the couple were delighted to learn about the incentive: “We were thrilled to find out we were eligible for the FirstBuy scheme which meant we only had to raise a 5% deposit. Persimmon lent us 10% and the government lent us 10% creating an equity loan with no interest to pay for the first five years, and we only had to arrange a mortgage for the remaining 75%. So many first time buyers think it is impossible to get onto the property ladder, but FirstBuy made our dream of owning our own home a reality.”

Sales director for Persimmon Homes Essex, Norman Sharpe, says the FirstBuy scheme has been extremely popular in the region: “There are first time buyers out there who want to make their first step onto the property ladder and we are able to meet their needs.

“The scheme provides a valuable lifeline to purchasers who are struggling to meet larger deposit targets and makes stunning properties at Station Approach accessible to move in to in as little as four weeks.”

Michal adds: “Our Stambourne house is a good size for us to live as a couple but has space for us to grow as a family. The Persimmon FirstBuy scheme has made this life changing move possible and a stress-free experience.”

Persimmon Homes Essex’s development Station Approach, Braintree is an appealing development offering a well-planned blend of contemporary two and three bedroom houses, and two bedroom apartments.
