Persimmon Homes makes a splash with £5000 donation at Community Fun Day

Local families enjoyed a day of sunshine, swimming, and celebration as Shaftesbury Lido hosted its Community Fun Day, which was made even more special with a generous £5,000 donation from Persimmon Homes South Coast. 

The donation, presented during the event by Sales Advisor Russell Carter, was warmly received by the Mayor, Lido team and residents. The funding comes from Persimmon Homes’ Community Champions scheme, which donates £24,000 each year to charities and organisations close to the communities they build in.  

The £5,000 grant will directly contribute to the ongoing running and maintenance of Shaftesbury Lido, ensuring it remains a welcoming, accessible space for families and residents to enjoy throughout the summer months. 

The Fun Day and cheque presentation was a great opportunity to bring the community together and highlight just how important the Lido is to the Shaftesbury community.
