Persimmon Homes Severn Valley has donated £2,000 to Tewkesbury Foodbank as part of its Community Champions initiative.
The donation will go towards supporting local residents across Tewkesbury and the surrounding areas with essential supplies to help combat food poverty and hunger.
Tewkesbury Foodbank was founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in Tewkesbury and the surrounding local areas.
You can find Tewkesbury Foodbank opposite the Crescent gateway into Tewkesbury Abbey.
Fiddington Fields, in Ashchurch close to Tewkesbury, will deliver over 800 quality new homes for local people across multiple phases of development when complete. This includes a total of nearly 300 affordable homes as part of the overall site.
Beth Harris, Deputy PM at Tewkesbury Foodbank, thanked Persimmon for the donation and said:
"Thank you to Persimmon Homes Severn Valley for their generous donation. This funding will help us to deliver food to those most in need, helping families across Tewkesbury and the local area over the festive period."
Carly Spear, Sales Director at Persimmon Homes Severn Valley, commented:
“We are very pleased to be supporting Tewkesbury Foodbank, particularly as demand for their services increases leading up to and throughout the festive period.
“We are committed to leaving a lasting positive legacy in the areas where we develop, and we hope that this donation will help support local residents across the local community during difficult times.”
