Persimmon Seeks Festive Artist
13 November 2013
The countdown to Christmas has begun with a leading Surrey house builder offering youngsters in Farnham the chance to design the 2013 Christmas card for its development in the area, Potters Way.
The winning individual will not only see their design printed, but will also receive an art kit, a framed copy of their printed card and £250 vouchers for their school.
Persimmon Homes Southern head of sales, Sharon Eldred, says: “We constantly strive to build relationships with the communities in which our developments are located and work closely with a small number of schools hosting site visits and also seeking their assistance when naming sites.
“This time, we are opening up the Christmas card competition to anyone aged 5 to 16, asking them to come up with a design for a Christmas card which will be printed and used as the official card for our Potters Way development on Wrecclesham Road.
“We launch this competition as we welcome home hunters in to our recently opened show home on site.
“The theme of the Christmas card competition is ‘Home for Christmas’ and we would like children to capture an image of what this means to them. There are no limits to how creative or imaginative entries can be, all we ask is that the entry can fit inside an A4 envelope or be saved as a high resolution JPEG.
“Entries must be received by the 29th November and we look forward to receiving and choosing the Christmas card design to welcome new residents on site.”
Entries to the competition can be sent by email to firstname.lastname@example.org with 'Christmas Card' in the subject.
Alternately you can send them by Post to Andrea Soundy, Christmas Card Competition, Persimmon Homes Southern, Charles Church House, Knoll Road, Camberley, GU15 3TQ.
All entries should include the entrant’s name, age, address, contact telephone number, email address and the school they attend. Entries submitted without this information may not be considered in the competition and unfortunately, entries cannot be returned.
