Rate Reducer unlocks the dream of a bigger family home

When Adam and Kirsty needed a new home to suit their needs, Own New Rate Reducer helped them buy the Persimmon home of their dreams with more affordable monthly payments.

For Adam and Kirsty, upsizing to a larger home was about finding space to grow without leaving the community they loved.

Adam, a product manager, and Kirsty, a nurse, used their third bedroom as a combined playroom and home office. “We wanted to stay at Marine Point because we have family nearby, and the community really suits our lifestyle,” Adam explained.

Through a Rate Reducer mortgage, Adam and Kirsty secured a rate of 3.88% on a 2-year mortgage with Halifax, reducing their monthly mortgage payments from £1,011 to £843.

Persimmon’s 5% buyer incentive was another factor that helped make this move achievable, as they used 3% to secure a lower interest rate and the remaining 2% toward their deposit. To ensure they were given the full value of the builder incentive, the couple also received £995 Own New cash back after their purchase to put towards moving costs.

“We were impressed by how Rate Reducer kept our costs manageable,” Kirsty said. “It allowed us to move up to a four-bedroom home without overextending our budget .”

Adam and Kirsty are enjoying their new space and the flexibility it offers their growing family. Staying within Marine Point has allowed them to remain close to family and friends, making this new house feel very much like home.
