Show Home opens at Bootham Crescent in York

The show home on the new Bootham Crescent housing development has been formally opened by representatives from York City Football Club and City of York Council.
Councillors Michael Pavlovic and Maragaret Wells joined representatives from the football club and Persimmon Yorkshire Managing Director Scott Waters for a ribbon cutting ceremony at the former home of York City FC.
Scott Waters, Managing Director for our Yorkshire region said: “We’re delighted to welcome homebuyers to our show home at Bootham Crescent.
“Steeped in history and only a short walk from the shops, restaurants, and sights of York city centre, this truly will be a special place to live.

93 properties are being built on Bootham Crescent in total with19 of these being handed to The Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust.
A mix of property types are being built, ranging from 1 bed houses and apartments through to 4 bed properties.
The sporting heritage of the site is being preserved with the three streets and four apartment buildings to be named after seven York City heroes as chosen by York City supporters.
