STEPPING IN TO AID HOMELESS CHARITY
07 September 2021

Building Futures financial support is being offered to an Aldershot-based charity committed to steering vulnerable young people away from homelessness.
Step by Step provides accommodation services, practical help and lifestyle support to people aged 10 to 26. The charity says Persimmon’s £1,000 funding will be used to assist the youngsters with free sessions covering housing, health, lifestyles careers and counselling – all designed to enhance their wellbeing.
Charity spokesperson Jenna Grant said: “Our mission is to empower young people and prevent homelessness. This additional funding will enable us to invest more time, skills and resources into helping young people in vulnerable situations.
“We know that accommodation is just the basepoint to transforming people’s lives. Our work also involves addressing their health, education, diet, inter-personal skills, housekeeping, financial awareness and employability. It’s fantastic that Persimmon is making a generous donation towards our ongoing work.”
Persimmon Thames Valley sales director Rachel Faulkner said: “Step by Step is a great organisation that helps vulnerable young people across several counties. We hope that our donation can help this vital work and help steer more people away from homelessness and the misery this brings.”
