Super Nova receives sales fellowship award
22 February 2022
Nova Eames, sales director for the East Midlands region, has been made a Fellow of the Institute of Sales Professionals (ISP) which is the UK’s national professional body representing the sales sector.
The first person from Persimmon Homes to achieve FF.ISP status, Nova had to go through an arduous process, beginning with an online ethics test and pre-course learning on a range of topics. The programme featured CPD training and completion of ISP and Persimmon Homes’ modules to complete the Persimmon Sales Excellence programme.
With 25 years’ experience in house selling, Nova’s career began after she left college having studied business and law and initially worked in financial services. Nova developed an interest in the housebuilding market and took a position in sales with Barratt Homes, where she worked for a number of years before making the move to Persimmon Homes five years ago.
During her career, Nova’s passion for the sector has grown and she said: “I love everything about housebuilding, meeting people from all walks of life and helping and guiding them through the whole process of buying their homes is a fantastic thing to be involved with. My role is not just about selling houses as I get drawn into so many aspects of homebuying; including mortgages and working with solicitors and contracts and I’m involved in all aspects of the business in order to carry out my duties as a sales director for Persimmon. It is extremely varied, no two days are the same and in fact no two hours are the same with my job.
“I am naturally delighted and also honoured to receive the fellowship and am grateful for the support I have received from the management and team here at Persimmon Homes which has enabled me achieve this accolade.”
Nick Phillips, managing director for Persimmon Homes East Midlands, said: “We are pleased and proud to see Nova become a Fellow of the ISP and congratulate her on this fantastic achievement. It truly reflects the high level of knowledge and skill in the field of sales she has gained and the dedicated service she has provided to all the home buyers she has worked with through their house purchasing process over the years.
“Nova’s sales ability, affinity with people, business acumen and high integrity means she is a great role model to all our sales personnel, not only in the East Midlands region, but throughout the Persimmon Homes business nationally. Receiving this fellowship underlines her talents and is very well deserved.”
Patrick Joiner, MD of The Institute of Sales Professionals, added: “We are proud to welcome Nova into Fellowship of the ISP and congratulate her on the hard work she has put into achieving the criteria for this honour. It is clear that throughout her career, Nova has focused on achieving the highest standards of professionalism in sales, and her Fellowship of the Institute is an appropriate recognition and celebration of her commitment. The Institute is delighted to have Persimmon Homes as a corporate member and we look forward to continuing to support them in the ongoing professional development of their salespeople.”
