Wessex handover 13 quality new homes to Cottsway Housing
14 December 2022

Persimmon Wessex has partnered with Cottsway to provide 38 new houses for the provision of social housing at a large development in West Witney.
Persimmon today transferred 13 of those new quality homes to Cottsway - the largest social housing provider in West Oxfordshire - at our Windrush Place site.
The properties will be a mix of rent and shared ownership for the purposes of housing local people. Further homes will be transferred by Wessex to Cottsway next year.
Julian Roper, Persimmon Wessex Managing Director, said:
“This is our first development with Cottsway for a number of years and we’re pleased to be working together again on this new development, with local amenities that will create a new community for those who live here to enjoy.
“Over the course of construction at the development, we will be transferring 38 homes to Cottsway, and we are pleased to mark the first handover of 13 properties for the purposes of housing local people.
“Persimmon is determined to leave a positive legacy in the local area through the provision of new homes and jobs, and we are very pleased to be partnering with Cottsway on the delivery of social housing in the area.”
Persimmon @ Windrush Place is part of a new, welcoming development in Witney, Oxfordshire. It features a stylish range of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes.
Windrush Place is a consortium site which will deliver 1,000 new homes for local people along with a new primary school, community centre, sports pitches and a pavilion.
Colin Bloodworth, Cottsway’s Assistant Director of Development and Assets, said:
“Witney is one of the key towns in our catchment area and demand for affordable homes is high.
“We’re delighted to be working with Persimmon to provide more homes for both affordable rent and shared ownership at this large new development, and will continue to work to provide even more new homes for people in housing need, because we know how important this is.”
