A Telford-based foodbank has received a boost, thanks to a collection drive held by the team at West Midlands.
Members of the team volunteered their time to collecting a range of foods to be donated to the foodbank, which helps to end food poverty in and around the Shropshire town. In total, £285 worth of products were donated.
Founded in 2013, Telford Crisis Support has been a volunteer-led organisation utilising a range of experience and expertise from its board of trustees and operational volunteers to aid those within the community who need it most.
Daniel Hassall, Managing Director at Persimmon Homes West Midlands, said: “What we do is about so much more than building quality homes; it’s also about supporting the communities in which we build in a number of ways.
“We’ve shown our backing to Telford Crisis Support for a number of years at West Midlands, and we’re delighted to be able to do that again. At Persimmon, we encourage our team to volunteer their time to causes close to their hearts and it’s great to know that our work has had a positive impact on Telford Crisis Support for another year.”
