Work begins at new development in Ossett

Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire is expecting a high demand for its new homes which are being built in a sought-after part of Ossett.
Work has begun on 90 new homes at Meadowbrook Gardens, off Westfield Road, offering a stylish range of three, four and five-bedroom homes.
Wayne Gradwell, managing director for Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire, said: “Five years ago we built in neighbouring Horbury, and it was hugely popular, so we are delighted to have secured this new site in the attractive market town of Ossett.
Its excellent transport links, schools as well as its collection of independent shops, café and eateries certainly add to the development’s appeal.
We are working towards summer completions and are encouraging potential buyers to reserve now to guarantee their preferred property within the site.”
Located within easy access of the M1 and M62, Meadowbrook Gardens is ideal for commuters to Wakefield, Dewsbury and Leeds. Its semi-rural setting together with its collection of schools, which are within walking distance, local amenities and a welcoming community atmosphere add to the development’s charm.
Wayne added: “We believe our range of house styles will appeal to growing families and first-time buyers. And with the Government-backed Help to Buy Scheme, there has never been a better time to secure your new home as customers realise how far their money can go.”
Under the scheme, people buying a new-build home only require a five per cent deposit along with a 75 per cent mortgage. The Government provides a 20 per cent equity loan, which is interest and repayments free for the first five years.
